Rev. Richard W. Bridges
When I was a teenager at First Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Ky. my mother died in 1971. Our new youth minister said "Call me Dick" and was an incredibly caring and supportive person to talk with for several years. Thanks. ebf

Commander, U.S. Navy
I grew up in Trigg County, KY. Although I have been away for a long time, I look forward to the day of my return. Your website makes me feel connected when I am away. I am currently serving at a U.S. Naval Base in Sicily, Italy.

Thomas relative
My Thomas cousins and I have traced our family back to Wales. The "Thomas and Bridges Family History" site is wonderful and it helped fill in the gaps we experienced. Thanks for the help.

I am the daughter of Robert Terrell and granddaughter of Emma Bridges Terrell, sister of Ora Bridges Hall. I still live in Cadiz. I attended the original Bridges Reunions up to 2009 that were held on the first Sunday of August before the Thomas-Bridges reunions were started.

The Martin Connection?
Hi family! I am a descendent of Ora Lee Bridges Hall, youngest child of William Joseph and Sarah Wills Bridges. Can anyone provide information about the parents of Emeline Martin, who married Simco N. Bridges? Could there be other spellings of her name? I notice that one of their granddaughters was named "Emmaline". Do you suppose that she was named after her grandmother? I'm so grateful to have the resources that this well-designed site provides.

I recently started working on my family tree and discovered that i am part of the Bridges family also. My great grandmother was Beulah Lee Bridges, decendant of Charles Norwood Bridges. Found out that Colonel Joseph Bridges is my 11th generation great grandfather...amazing. Thanks for all the pictures you have posted, never would have seen these if it wasn't for your website :)

I'd like to thank Charles Kenneth Bridges for the many hours of effort that made this the great web site that it is. It is very easy to research the various family lines here. Any of you who are on Facebook, please check out our "Descendants of James Thomas and Drewry Bridges" Group which is for sharing.!/group.php?gid=145189690306

Thanks so much for this site! Found my biological father about 3 years ago (a Sumner), so this site is great for helping me trace back my roots.

Thank you so much for all your research and sharing of details. I just returned from Washington DC last week and the highlight of my trip was the "Written in Bones" exhibit at the Smithsonian. This site and your hard work made that experience possible for me. The Smithsonian bookstore has a great book for sale which contains a section dedicated to the Bridger Family. It is the Douglas Owsley and Karin Bruwelheide "Written in Bones" Bone Biographer's Casebook. It is available on-line at the Smithsonian website. Thank you again.
